The best part about hearing about John Candy now is that it's a spur to start scouring IMDb for the best quotes from his movie. The Del Griffith speech from Planes, Trains & Automobiles just hits home more with each passing year, especially if you've never been overly lovable in losing, the way Candy's characters always were:
"You wanna hurt me? Go right ahead if it makes you feel any better. I'm an easy target. Yeah, you're right, I talk too much. I also listen too much.
