LYNX: TINY BOBBLES....

We've no idea who was responsible, but this is messed up. Hawaiian shirt day? Perhaps second baseman, Chris Tolbert can blame his fielding error on losing the ball in the floral pattern. And putting Hall of Famer, Paul Molitor in one too? Shameful.

The Lynx continue to play the role of spoiler in the North division, throwing a wrench into the Red Wings playoff aspirations with today's 6-5 win (box, play-by-play). Rochester pitcher, Brian Duensing (10-3, 2.56 ERA) was cruising along until Tolbert's error in the fourth - the error was a costly one, allowing the Lynx to score 6 unearned runs. As it turns out, that was all they would need. Dusty Wathan picked up where he left off yesterday, going 2-3 with a walk, a double, a stolen base (!) and a run scored.

Brian Sanches
(2-3, 4.87 ERA) continues to improve; after coming on in relief of Kane Davis with one gone in the eighth, Sanches retired the next two batters. He hung around for the bottom of the ninth, and while a wild pitch made it interesting, when all was said and done he struck out four of the six batters he faced en route to his 14th save.

Ottawa's got one more game with Rochester before returning home to face Pawtucket for four. In what can only be considered a good omen, tomorrow's action will see the Wings playing in Spiderman pajamas.
