SENS: PADDOCK, LOCK IT UP

Ottawa hockey writer Chris Stevenson reported late last night that John Paddock will be named head coach of the Senators tomorrow. Paddock was an assistant last year, so the Sens are going for stability, and after a run to the Cup final, why not?

It's a little funny that the Senators will end up displacing tonight's showdown between the States' Freddy Adu and Brazil's Alexandre Pato at the FIFA U-20 World Cup as the lead sports story in the city's media over the next 24 hours. Can't we get a break from hockey in this town?
