NO NEED TO JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO ADVANCE

Team Canada is through to the second round of the FIBA under-19 worlds; they'll play Spain, Korea and Argentina three days in a row beginning Monday. Spain, the reigning senior world champion, went 3-0 in the first round.

Turkey controlled the final minutes of its game to beat Nigeria, which gave coach Greg Francis' team third spot in their pool after a close 81-70 loss to a strong Australian team. Canadian shooting guard Devoe Joseph scored 33 points while taking just 21 shots. He is probably the only player in the 16-team tournament to go over 30 twice in the tournament.

Again, cishoops.ca can say more about this.
