"The evening began on shaky footing when beer baron ... (name omitted, just to be on the safe side).. sang the national anthem in the style of an Atlantic City lounge singer. Jeers rained down from pockets in the stands."In case anyone is wondering, it is probably tough logistically, let alone legally, to sue a crowd of 31,097 people. The booing is regrettable really, since as a defender of the man to us about seven weeks ago, "So he doesn't sing all that well. Would it kill to leave a person having a good time alone?"
Still, it's very rich that someone goes from would-be litigant to telling the media he's "not going to be defensive" and "What are you going to do?" about getting a negative reaction, then sportsnet.ca publishes those comments without providing some highly relevant context.
That's all for now. Send your thoughts to neatesager@yahoo.ca.
