THE SENS WILL BE GRINDIN'

Forget Daniel Alfredsson and Jason Spezza. The biggest players on the Senators' side are Malice and Pusha T of Clipse, who are playing Ottawa's Capital Music Hall on Monday -- the same night that Game 6 of the Eastern Conference final would go if the Sabres beat Ottawa again on Saturday. Senators goalie Ray Emery is apparently a fan of the hip-hop duo -- during a recent feature on TSN, he was wearing a Clipse T-shirt. So Emery has extra incentive to shut out Buffalo on Saturday, wrap up the series and earn himself a night off to take in the show.

True, Clipse probably won't be on stage till 10 or 11 p.m. However, with the possibilities of overtime, post-game media obligations and Scotiabank Place's typical post-game traffic jams, Emery can't leave anything to chance if he wants to get from the cornfield in Kanata to downtown Ottawa in time to catch Clipse.
