Red Wings 3 Sharks 2 in overtime (series tied 2-2): Talk about a kick in the pants for San Jose, which had a defensive letdown which freed Robert Lang to score the tying goal with 34 seconds left. Very few people will give San Jose a chance of winning what is now a best-of-3 against the Red Wings, who retain home-ice advantage.
Senators 3 Devils 2 (Ottawa leads series 3-1): Everyone will have plenty of time to chew over Martin Brodeur's post-game potshot at his Sens counterpart, Ray Emery, as quoted by Sun Media: "We finally proved if we shoot pucks at Emery, he doesn't look too good." Martin Brodeur's built a big enough mantle to say whatever he wants on the subject of goaltending, but anyone aligned with the Senators should just laugh this off as what the Jesus Quintana character John Turturro played in The Big Lebowski would have called, "bush-league psych-out shit. Laughable, man!"
And for Lou Lamoriello, "You might fool the f--ks in the league office, but you don't fool Ray Emery!" Well, not too often anyways.

I was disappointed to hear Brodeur say that. He's too classy a guy, or should be, to get into that "bush-league psych-out" silliness.
As for the Red Wings, you have to hand it to them. Every year, they predict that this is the year of their downfall, and every year, they manage to have a top shelf team again. The Sharks should have buried them by now, but the Wings are proving that if you don't put a stake through their heart, they just keep coming back. I'll still take the Sharks to win the series, though.
