DALEMBERT ON NATIONAL TEAM...

Mark Wacyk is reporting at cishoops.ca that Philadelphia 76ers big man Samuel Dalembert will play for Team Canada at this summer's FIBA Americas Olympic qualifying tournament in Las Vegas.

Canada Basketball could use some good news and Dalembert, the Haiti-born Montrealer, agreeing to suit up and getting the passport issues that kept him from doing so up until now, is exactly that. His offensive game is limited (he did play in the Big East, after all), but his defensive credentials are unquestioned and he's a consistent double-double player in the League.
