HOMETOWN BREAKDOWN: OF LOGAN AND LOOGIES

  • Accolades to the 67's Logan Couture and Kingston-born Jamie Arniel, who plays for the Guelph Storm, for being named to Team Canada for this month's under-18 world tournament.
  • Just when you'd almost forgotten Sean Avery played for the Frontenacs: Deadspin has a thread going about a New York Islanders Ice Girls who say they were slashed and spit on by Rangers players on Tuesday. Naturally, Avery's name is in the story -- not as the slasher or spitter, but still -- since you can't have a story about dickishness in hockey without mentioning Sean Avery.
  • Speaking of A-holes on skates, the Woodstock paper published our reply to Angry Bob.
