CANUCK CAGERS WERE CLEARLY ON A MISSION

Our source for Canadian hoops, Mark Wacyk has a post up at cishoops.ca about the Ontario Mission. The Mission, a high school all-star squad from the Toronto area led by players from powerhouse Eastern Commerice, just won the Junior International Tournament in Milan, one of the best under-18 club tournaments in the world.

I'm too honest by half to admit I had heard of this tournament before Mark's pickup, even though the Raptors' Andrea Bargnani played in it. It's a good reminder, though, that the quality of Canadian hoops is pretty good once you get past the inevitable comparisons to the States and start looking at the whole world.
