Quick congrats to former Queen's Golden Gaels basketball coach Chris Oliver for receiving Ontario University Athletics West coach of the year honours.
Oliver has guided the Windsor Lancers to their first first-place finish since 1980, best record since '82, and a No. 10 national ranking (ninth in Cheers RPI). This comes as no surprise to Tricolour types, since by all accounts Chris did great job of helping get Queen's basketball on the OUA map during his time in K-town (2002-05) before handing off to current bench boss Rob Smart.
