- My Minnesota Vikings are D-U-N done after spitting the bit against the Chicago Bears. How much longer are the Bears going to keep winning games without an offence? Chicago's defence and special teams scored 16 points in the 23-13 Bears win and forgotten tailback Cedric Benson ran 24 yards for a touchdown, which in Deadspin's words, "must have been an accident."
Yes, yes, that's big talk from second place in the NFC North, but if you had asked any randomly selected team's fans how they would expect to do in a game where their quarterback was 6-for-19 passing with 34 yards, three interceptions and the sterling QB rating of 1.3, most would figure they would lose about 34-3. Bears fans just keep expecting their team to enjoy the incredible good fortune of always being able to get a defensive or special-teams touchdown in every game. Of course, the Bears keep doing so.
(Back in the pre-season, good friend Jeff Dertinger, a Bears fan, figured Chicago would go 12-4 and the Vikings would 6-10. Well, they're 10-2 and 5-7, respectively.) - The Jays finally addressed Vernon Wells' situation. No, wait, they didn't.
