We're takin' it slow today, so here's some quick hits for the drive home:
- Not sure if this has been done elsewhere, but the Chicago Tribune has ditched the standard Chicago Bears game story. Here's what thhey're doing instead with their game coverage. It's rudimentary, it's cookie-cutter, it's a bit sloppy, but at least they're trying something.
Allen Iverson, the newest member of the Denver Nuggets... thank god there's no controversies already surrounding that team. (How long until someone makes a "Mile High" joke about A.I.?) - Rory Fitzpatrick is now in position to be voted an All-Star Game starter. (Off Wing Opinion, via Deadspin)
- The Kansas City Penguins? The Globe and Mail's Eric Duhatschek notes that means Sidney Crosby would only visit each Eastern Conference city once every three years with the current NHL sked. The opinion here has always been that out of K.C., Omaha and Oklahoma City, there should be at least two NBA/NHL teams. (James Mirtle)
- Our Larry King moment: There isn't a better time of day than 3:45 p.m. on a sunny, mild winter afternoon.
