HOCKEY LAST NIGHT: DWAYNE ROLI-ING

Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson. Seriously.

Oilers 2 Flames 1: Dwayne Roloson now has almost twice as many wins through the first two months of this season in Edmonton as he did through five months for the Minnesota Wild in '05-06. He earned this one, too, holding Calgary off the board in a second period that the Flames by all accounts dominated. Not bad for a guy who was unproven as a No. 1 netminder, eh? Petr Sykora scored both goals for Edmonton.

Ducks 5 Sharks 0: How did California hockey fans survive with these Pacific Division rivals not playing until Nov. 21? J.S. Giguere gets the shutout and Teemu Selanne pops in two goals; with his next, he'll join Jari Kurri as the second Finn to reach 500 for a career. Anyway, the Ducks might just be the best team in the league right now.

Rangers 4 Hurricanes 0: Jaromir Jagr is now the most prolific European goal scorer in NHL history, but we are not looking for another mullet photo.

Tonight's major action: Leafs-Sabres, 7 p.m.; Senators-Flyers, 7 p.m.; Wild-Canadiens, 7:30 p.m.; Canucks-Red Wings, 7:30 p.m.
