Just a quick note that the Queen's Golden Gaels, on second-half goals by Renee MacLellan and Katie Dalziel, the latter with seven minutes to go, beat the Cape Breton Capers 2-1 to advance to the semifinal at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport women's soccer championship.
Queen's plays the York Lions in Saturday's semi. The Ottawa Gee-Gees, 1-0 winners over defending national champion Victoria Vikes in their match, play UBC in the second semi. So yes, the chances of an all-Ontario final being played on West Coast is very much in play. Nii-ice.
That's all for now. Send your thoughts to neatesager@yahoo.ca.
