Just saw this move on the wires. New York Jets rookie offensive lineman Nick Mangold has a sister who's playing on the varsity football team at his old high school in Ohio. Girls playing football — wide receiver or kicker — is nothing new, but like her brother, 16-year-old Holley Mangold plays offensive line.
She's a 5-foot-9, 300-lb. guard.
Don't look so astounded. You know how football teams always exaggerate heights and weights. She's probably only 275. Two-eighty, tops.
All the best to Ms. Mangold. Given her size, she might even have a chance at playing small-college football in the States.

actually... i play on the same football team as holley (Alter Knights) and she weighs 300+ lbs... but i did however, at a party, manage to lift her up by myself.
