- So typically Ottawa: Holiday weekend, beautiful Sunday afternoon, and the Lynx were going for a sweep against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. And they couldn't even draw a crowd of 2,500 -- the attendance was 2,477. That's so weak, Ottawa.... kind of like any given Senators player when he goes in the corner.

- Update via Hardball Times: Carlos Beltran is tied with Albert Pujols for the National League lead with 19 Win Shares Above Bench. In the AL, Derek Jeter, Joe Mauer, Jim Thome and Manny Ramirez are tied with 14 WSAB apiece. Jeter's never won the MVP -- he was runner-up to Pudge RodrÃguez in 1999. Have to wonder — in a race between a catcher from a Midwestern team, a designated hitter and a guy who's not even considered Boston's best hitter (that would be David Ortiz), Jeter has a chance to walk off with the award.
- Who are these Devil Rays you speak of? Deadspin explains: "For those unfamiliar, they are a baseball team which joined the American League in 1998, named for a cephalic-finned sea creature which feeds primarily on plankton. - Simply stunning: the St. Louis Cardinals have had two eight-game losing streaks and still lead the NL Central. Considering how up in arms Blue Jays fans were over a single seven-game slide, that really puts how hard it is to win the AL East in perspective.
Orioles and Jays getting underway. Brian Tallet is starting for the Jays, so something must have happened to Ted Lilly. (UPDATE: It was a neck injury.) Normally when it's Lilly's turn to start, Tallet doesn't have to pitch until fourth inning. Fifth, tops.

Man, it is apparent by your previous posts that you have something against the city of Ottawa. Well, we don't like your editing. Perhaps you should just pack up your belongings and leave.

What happened to the "Dude, I live in Ottawa...I love Ottawa" that was in your initial response? You edit your own remarks?
And how about some magnanimity in your posts! Sure, we know you scooped this person and that, or you read a book before someone else. Stop rubbing it in all the time! Once is enough per "scoop"
First you said you didn't like my editing, then you complain when I exercise my right to edit something.
